Narrative Shorts
All narrative shorts entered must be 20 minutes or less.

All works need to either be created with a woman and/or minority in a key creative role (video: writer, producer, or director) or the subject matter needs to be of interest to women and/or minorities.

All entries must be submitted digitally through Withoutabox or otherwise online.
Documentary Shorts
All documentary shorts entered must be 20 minutes or less.

All works need to either be created with a woman and/or minority in a key creative role (video: writer, producer, or director) or the subject matter needs to be of interest to women and/or minorities.

Animation
All animation shorts entered must be 20 minutes or less.

All works need to either be created with a woman and/or minority in a key creative role (video: writer, producer, or director) or the subject matter needs to be of interest to women and/or minorities.

Audio Narrative
Audio narratives must be 10 minutes or less. Only audio-only projects are acceptable for this category.

Audio Documentary

Music Production
Entries in music production must be songs (any genre) that are 10 minutes or less. These are audio only entries, and will be judged on the recording and production quality.

This is NOT a music video category, we have a separate category for music video.

All works need to either be created with a woman and/or minority in a key creative/production role ( audio: producer, engineer, or mixer).

All entries will be judged with the official selections playing at least once in our festival in April.
Music Video
Music video entries must be 10 minutes or less.

All works need to either be created with a woman and/or minority in a key creative role (video: writer, producer, or director).
Comedy
All comedy shorts entered must be 20 minutes or less. Story is important but so are the laughs!

All works need to either be created with a woman and/or minority in a key creative role (video: writer, producer, or director) or the subject matter needs to be of interest to women and/or minorities.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The mission of WAMMFest (Women And Minorities in Media Festival) is to celebrate and promote women and minorities in audio, video, animation, and film at a student and professional level.


ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
In celebration of the 8th International WAMMFest, Women And Minorities in Media Festival, we are pleased to announce our annual call for short audio and video works by student and professional media makers.

All works entered must either be created with a women and/or minority in a key creative role (video: writer, producer, or director; audio: writer, producer, engineer, or mixer) or of interest to women and/or minorities.

The works entered into WAMMFest will be juried with the official selections and winners playing during the 2014 WAMMFest running April 9-11,2015. The judges and audience will each select the best work of the student and professional selected entries.

This year, there are more than $6250 in WAMM awards and honorariums including 2 $500 WAMM awards (best overall professional short and best overall student short), a $250 WAMM Audience Choice award. Additionally, there are a limited number of travel scholarships and honorariums for media makers who are screening works.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Each entrant grants Towson University, the College of Fine Arts and Communications, the Electronic Media & Film Department and WAMMFest permission for non-exclusive rights to use the work and/or screenshot of the work to promote the festival on electronic and/or print materials. There may be opportunities to have the work screened additionally for WAMM outside of the festival itself. If your work has been selected for any additional screenings, permission will be obtained from the media maker.
