MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Truly Independent

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
A Truly Independent Film Festival...that’s what TrindieFest is all about. Most of the bigger festivals have become selling venues for bigger films. Our job at TrindieFest is to bring the Independent Film back to center stage. This Festival is truly Independent Films.

Independent filmmaker Kirk Loudon and his wife Julie were vacationing in the Colorado area when they stumbled upon a small town called Trinidad. With it’s magnificent mountain views and small town feel, Trinidad was the perfect place to launch a film festival. So in 2011 Kirk and Julie began TrindieFest.

With 2 years behind us, we are slowly but surely growing and making new friends with each year. Our biggest reward is that we have repeat winners and are seeing the dreams of those winners realized with their successes by getting a screenplay made into a film, or a film getting a distribution deal. We couldn't be happier for those success stories.

We will continue to bring great films, guest speakers and new ideas each year to Trinidad and TrindieFest.
