MISSION & OBJECTIVE
We love dogs, comedy and films and we hope you do too! Show us your funniest, most dramatic, story filled and/or personal films and we'll provide the audience and prizes. Good and bad dogs alike are welcome!

All selected films will have a dog in them somewhere, somehow and its also up to you how you interpret 'dog'.

Our goals include the:

(a) promotion of Balmain/Rozelle, Leichhardt and Sydney generally highlighting the Balmain dog community and as an exhibition venue for premiere films.
(b) to showcase the best independent, domestic and international films to the residents and visitors of Balmain/Rozelle, Leichhardt and Sydney generally
(c) to provide educational opportunities for Balmain/Rozelle, Leichhardt and Sydney students and emerging filmmakers
(d) to promote Balmain/Rozelle, Leichhardt and Sydney as a film making destination
(e) to be known for excellence in programming
(f) to present a seminars which promote discussion and cutting edge information on a variety of topics
(g) to promote iconic Australian film makers and crew
(h) to provide special programming for students, children, families and seniors.




ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
2012 is our first year and we plan to make it a great first year! The 2012 Festival Director is film maker and lawyer Anny Slater of Moondance Pictures. Anny loves dogs! and is the proud owner of an Irish Setter named Belle.

This year's mascot of the festival is Mr Shorthaired Pointer.

GENERAL RULES
GENERAL RULES

All films must be about or include a dog. We prefer the normal interpretation of dog but you are also welcome to interpret the word creatively.

You must label your screener and package with the film's category. For example: Short Narrative, Short Comedy, Short Documentary and Short Other.

We do not require a press kit with your preview. If your film is selected we will request a kit, if available.

Your entry through Withoutabox.com authorises us to show clips on television including news programs and/or the world wide web or otherwise for marketing and/or news programs. If you receive early acceptance, all press material must be received by July1 2012.

Students please provide your age, education year, course name, name of school/university & city and a school contact

We only notify of acceptance, but if at any time you want to inquire about the status of your film, please email info@moondancepictures.com. In order for us to help you, please indicate your WAB ID number, which competition, which category, and title of film you.

Once a film is submitted and previewed for acceptance it cannot be withdrawn.
The Good Dog! Film Festival and Moondance Pictures Pty Ltd is hereby granted the right to utilise an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the festival for promotional purposes.
The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorised to commit the film for screening, that the film does not infringe any intellectual property rights of third parties or contravene any laws and understands, and accepts these requirements and regulations.

You indemnify and hold harmless The Good Dog! Film Festival and Moondance Pictures Pty Ltd from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage.
