Pasadena International Film Festival strives to create art and culture for the town of Pasadena. Last year we had filmmakers fly in from all over the world- we look forward to cultivating a community of filmmakers and film lovers who are here to support and nurture the worlds of art, culture, and film. Pasadena finally has its very own film festival—where the old world of film meets the new world of new media. Every evening we will host a post-screening mixer at a venue that reflects Old Hollywood—an era of grace, elegance, and mystery.
We invite you to participate in an event that will draw business and notoriety for our lovely town of Pasadena—long known for its love and support of the arts. Filmmakers, celebrities, and the general public will gather for a festive and exciting week that promotes class, culture, and community. People from every continent are invited to share in the beauty that is Pasadena. Don’t miss out.

Practically every city in the U.S. hosts a film festival. Now Pasadena can say that it does, too. And we are proud to say that almost all our films are chosen from the submissions we receive by independent filmmakers.
Most festivals simply showcase films. We plan to create a unique experience that will bridge the worlds of locals, tourists, industry, filmmakers, and businesses. By incorporating movie theatres, independent bookstores, Famous gardens, restaurants, lounges, and the Pasadena Museum of History, we will fill a void in the film festival circuit.
"Film" as we have come to know it, is in flux. We are entering a new era of creation. Art and entertainment are now digital, and have become "New Media". Welcome to one of the first festivals that accepts New Media Projects. Our festival's theme, therefore, is Old Hollywood... when "film" itself was fresh and new. Come back to the time of Old Hollywood Glitz and Glamour... the era of celluloid... the Prohibition Era, where the gin is cold, but the piano is hot! Attend our "Great Gatsby" Opening Night Gala, pop into parties at the Scarlet Tea Room or Vertical Wine Bistro, listen to lectures given by film historians about Film's beginnings at our Museum of History, attend panel discussions, dance the Charleston while sipping on a martini (sans the "bathtub gin").
We plan on showcasing the very best in Film and New Media. Won't you join us?
