MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The HFF will showcase the best in regional and international cinema, presenting a unique combination of socially conscious filmmakers, emerging artists and master storytellers in the film capital of the world.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
FILM SCREENINGS
On the heels of their most successful Fest to date, with a 46% increase in box office in 2014, HFF has added more screens! In addition to the state of the art ArcLight Theater in Hollywood, the Chinese Theatre will Festival screenings and presentations, presenting a number of documentaries and narratives, shorts and features, to enthusiastic audiences and film professionals.

CINECAUSE PRESENTATIONS
In addition, the HFF will showcase the other side of Hollywood, celebrating the creative artists, activists and industry leaders who have supported causes around the world. HFF present a series of films, presentations and tech demonstrations, providing audiences, cause advocates and filmmakers with new and exciting opportunities to leverage the power of film and technology to create change.

INDUSTRY NETWORK
With film presentations taking place in the heart of Hollywood, the Festival presents a valuable screening platform for independent filmmakers, while providing for access to the studios and industry at large. The 2015 event will continue the successful Industry Network Program introduced in the 2013 edition, bringing industry professionals together with participating filmmakers, in a productive round table format. Valuable connections will be made, as these sessions explore the evolving landscape of the business, from development and production to marketing and distribution.

MUSIC SHOWCASES
In 2015, HFF will integrate a combination of music programs, with artists performing showcases in historic and emerging Hollywood venues, and music/film industry professionals engaging in panels and mixers focusing on the intersection of film/video content and music. HFF filmmakers will have access to the music showcases and related events, with an opportunity to discover and meet artists for future projects.

HOSPITALITY PROGRAM
Visiting filmmakers will be treated with world-class hospitality, from the time they land in Los Angles to their film screening, from the Opening Night Gala at the historic Cinerama Dome to the Closing Night Gala at the famed Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Filmmakers will get a taste of tinseltown history, while having an opportunity to experience the New Hollywood.

PRIZE PACKAGES
While we understand filmmakers, especially social impact storytellers, don’t make movies to win awards, we all know there is value is being recognized for your work. The Festival will have a number of Jury prizes. In addition, cash prizes will be awarded, and we will present winning filmmakers with exceptional distribution prize packages supported by our partners (Tugg, Yekra and ShortsHD).

THE HISTORY
We are very proud that our finalists and winners have secured agents and distribution deals (HBO, Miramax, IFC, Indican, 7th Art Releasing, and Starz Entertainment among other distributors) due to their exposure during our Hollywood Film Festival.

One success story is HFF winner, CRAIG BREWER, and the sale of his movie "Hustle and Flow" to Paramount Studios for $9 million. Craig Brewer was discovered at the 2000 Hollywood Film Festival when the Festival hosted the world premiere of his first film "Poor and Hungry."

Another HFF winner, director Robert DeFranco, sold his film "Telling You" to Miramax. Our winner Zoe Clarke-Williams got a directing job for an MGM film after we honored her. In addition, our winning documentarian Janine Hoskins sold her documentary "My Khmer Heart" to HBO.

"For up-and-coming filmmakers looking for a break the festival is the ultimate networking opportunity", said "Daily Variety."
