MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Next March, one independent Feature Film will debut in 100 cinemas across the USA...and it could be yours!

On March 6 - 9, 2014, One Feature Film will screen in one hundred cinemas across the USA. Audiences at each venue will be asked the question. Should this film return to this cinema for a theatrical release in 2014? If the majority vote "yes" then that film will return to that cinema for a series of screenings that year. We have the cinemas, we have the audience... the question is... do you have the film?

The Feature Film Project is a new venture, presented by the MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival designed to discover, market and promote one Feature Film through its established cinema network that otherwise might not have had the opportunity to find an audience, gain distribution and get discovered.

Filmmakers we believe the time has come for an alternative route for a Feature Film to be discovered in the USA, outside the usual Film Festival circuit. With the direct approach the Project is taking, by introducing you and your film to an audience in a cinema and letting them decide its fate, the Feature Film Project could be that alternative for a Filmmaker either before or after the Film Festival circuit.

The Deadline for entries is Friday December 13, 2013

Over 100,000 film-lovers attend MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival in over 300 cinemas annually during one week each year. The cinemas and areas we are asking to be part of the Feature Film Project are in the same places where MANHATTAN SHORT has a large and influential following. We have found out first-hand that if you throw something out to the public they have the power to do amazing things to whatever it is you put out there, they can take it to places one could never imagine. And we are going to give them the opportunity to do that to you and your film.

'It's the Public that Creates Stars" that is a fact. And that is the Mantra to the Feature Film Project. And we hope they do that to you, and your film.

Financials The box office of the films theatrical release throughout 2014 will be with Cinemas to receive (50%) Filmmaker/Producers (25%) MANHATTAN SHORT (25%). MANHATTAN SHORT will cover the costs of marketing and press for the film. Filmmaker/Producers shall retain 100% of all digital downloads, DVD rights, Cable TV rights.
