MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The La Costa Film Festival offers an unparalleled experience for film lovers, by combining the best climate in America, a world renowned destination resort, and the finest selected films from the past year. Since our area is widely recognized for excellence in sports, we will offer a special jury presented award to the best sports films in both feature length narrative or documentary and shorts. We have also searched the world over to present a full spectrum of outstanding narrative features, documentaries, and short films, for your enjoyment. Completing the list will be the prize winning short film submitted by our local high schools.

Complimenting the film choices will be discussion panels, retrospective screenings, red carpet action, several gala events, with exquisite food, local craft beers, fine wines, and live entertainment. You are sure to have a wonderful time!

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The festival will take place on September 18 -21, and will again be headquartered at the internationally recognized La Costa Resort and Spa. La Costa has long been coveted by celebrities as a favorite seaside getaway, to refresh their body, and spirit. Now the Resort wants to bring that experience to filmmakers from around the world, and present a truly unforgettable weekend for their guests.

Walk the red carpet to our Opening Night Gala, and then watch the starlit screening on the beautiful grounds of the La Costa Resort and Spa. Then join our participating filmmakers and special guests at an After Party, or a panel discussion. For the ultimate in comfort and luxury select one of our film screenings at the Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas, or consider the spacious and charming Ruby Schulman Theater next door at the La Costa Dove Library.

The La Costa Film Festival opened to rave reviews last October, and left patrons eagerly anticipating the 2014 encore edition. Mark your calendars and get ready for another memorable fantastic time. Take pride as well in the fact that all net proceeds will go to support our selected charity, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad.
