Showcasing creative film in our beautiful city.

Film Hamilton presents its inaugural Hamilton Film Festival on April 5-7, 2013. This festival provides opportunity for filmmakers from around the world to showcase their work and receive recognition and awards for their innovation and creativity while providing a beautiful backdrop for the weekend.

Attendees will learn from the Ohio Film Office about the benefits of filming in Ohio including tax incentives and other cost-saving measures. Attendees will also enjoy a plethora of short and full-length films over the weekend and meet and greet with other film makers and film buffs.

Hamilton is a historic city in southwest Ohio with large-city amenities and small town charm. Film Hamilton partners with production companies to bring their projects to our city and works as your local on-the-ground team to make sure your production runs smoothly and saves you money. Hamilton Film Festival provides an opportunity to introduce film makers to the beautiful locations and local services of our city, encouraging them to consider Hamilton for future productions.

Films must be submitted to the Hamilton Film Festival via http://www.withoutabox.com. No direct submissions are allowed.

Films must have been completed after April 1, 2011. Films must be available for screening during the Hamilton Film Festival, April 5-7, 2013.

Narrative and Documentary films with U.S. distribution (obtained prior to being selected for Hamilton Film Festival screening) or films produced, financed or initiated by a major film studio or television network are ineligible for competition, but may be considered for a special screening. Selection for screening will be determined no later than one month prior to the festival. Films that have screened on US network or cable television or distributed to theaters prior to the festival dates are also ineligible for competition.

Hamilton Film Festival reserves the right to change submission category at its discretion.

Once an entry payment has been processed we cannot provide a refund. If a payment is disputed, the account holder may be subject to any fees.

Feature films are defined as films of 41 minutes or longer.

Open to anyone who wishes to enter.

Short films are defined as films of 40 minutes or less

Open to anyone who wishes to enter.

Student films may be feature or short films.

Open only to students (must include proof of enrollment from accredited university or college).

Please Note: The Hamilton Film Festival does not waive entry fees. HFF believes waiving entry fees hurts the integrity of the competition. The same rules and entry fees should apply to all applicants so no one film is favored over another. In a similar respect, the HFF does not invite films to be in competition; only films submitted will be considered for competition.

DVDs and press materials will not be returned under any circumstances. Feel free to email production@filmhamilton.com if you would like acknowledgment.
