MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The unique mission of the Speechless Film Festival is to foster cross-cultural engagement through the celebration of visual storytelling, a creative endeavor rooted deeply in the history of cinema. Visual storytelling transcends a wide variety of film genres including documentary, animation, drama, experimental, etc. Speechless is the first film festival in southern Minnesota to showcase an ambitious and diverse program of films, which provides a unique arts experience and valuable educational opportunity for students to connect with visiting speakers and filmmakers.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Speechless Film Festival was created in 2013 and is now approaching its 6th year. The festival is named for our signature category—Speechless Shorts—though we also receive and show films in a broader range of categories. In addition to film showcases, Speechless hosts a number of guest speakers, special screenings, and events with food and music.
This film festival is presented by Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, MN.

It is the responsibility of the submission contact to communicate any concerns or changes in entry status as it relates to a film's premiere.
