MISSION & OBJECTIVE
To provide makers of all film genres a venue through which they enrich themselves and their audiences by engaging with film.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Flathead Lake International Cinemafest is, without a doubt, the most beautiful film festival in the world. FLIC is celebrating its second year of presenting a broad slate of domestic and international films on January 24 – 26, 2014.

The seed of the idea for Polson to host a film festival grew out in part from the Envision Polson! Year-Round Committee, a group formed under the Greater Polson Community Foundation, whose mission is to offer events and activities to the Greater Polson community and visitors alike on a year-round basis. A Film Festival committee spun off from the Year-Round Committee in January to form what is now known as the Flathead Lake International Cinemafest (FLIC). In conjunction with FLIC, the committee created a junior competition for Montana students 18 years aptly named FLIC Jr., a first of it’s kind within the state. FLIC is a non-profit organization under the umbrella of the Polson Community Development Agency.

The City of Polson will play host for FLIC. Polson borders against the Mission Mountain Range and nestles on the southern shores of beautiful Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake West of the Mississippi. The city lies with the boundaries of the Flathead Indian Reservation, home of the Salish, Kootenai and Pend d’Oreille tribes.

We invite you to submit your films and/or be our guest at the festival!
