MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The North Hollywood CineFest seeks to celebrate great independent filmmaking of all genres in both short and feature lengths from all over the world. We strive to reach out to the Hollywood community to provide an all-round exciting, fun, and productive festival experience with a great networking atmosphere.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The 3rd Annual North Hollywood CineFest will take place from March 18-24 of 2016 and will last 7 exciting days of independent film showcasing at the beautiful Laemmle NoHo 7 digital theater located in the heart of the NoHo Arts District in North Hollywood, CA.
The festival has numerous awards typical to festivals. The films can be of any format or genre and it will be up to the festival's discretion to consider them for these awards.
Winners of the NoHo CineFest Drama Feature, NoHo CineFest Comedy Feature and NoHo CineFest Horror Feature awards will receive an:
InkTip Script Listing: A listing of your script on InkTip so that producers and reps can find you.
InkTip: Where everyone goes for scripts and writers.
Producers have made more than 200 films from scripts and writers they found through InkTip.
The festival was founded by award-winning filmmaker and television producer, Gustavo Sampaio, and his wife Natalia Sossa. They are both passionate promoters of independent filmmaking and will work to enhance the festival experience by hosting seminars and symposiums, special guests, including celebrities, as well as other notable industry professionals.
The festival is convenient for attendance in Los Angeles, since it is close to 2 major freeways and only 2 blocks away from a Metro (Red line) and bus station. Numerous restaurants and nightlife hot spots surround the theater and a variety of hotel options are accessible to the area for all budget levels.
All entries must be postmarked by January 10, 2016 (Withoutabox extended deadline) to be eligible.
Employees and their immediate families (parent, spouse, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related) of North Hollywood CineFest and any of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies or festival sponsors, are not eligible to enter or win. There is no limit on the number of films you can submit; however, each film submitted by you must be original and different from any other film submitted by you and accompanied by its own completed submission form and participant agreement. Films must be in English or subtitled in English and must be submitted via Secure Online Screener. North Hollywood CineFest reserves the right to reject any film that it determines, in its sole and absolute discretion, contains prohibited content or is offensive, inappropriate or otherwise unacceptable. All eligible entries received by North Hollywood CineFest will be judged by the North Hollywood CineFest selection committee. Selections will be notified by email on January 17, 2016.
By submitting your film for consideration for the 3rd Annual North Hollywood CineFest, you agree for North Hollywood CineFest to screen your film if it is an official selection of the festival and are obligated to your commitment.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We accept both Domestic and International submissions. If selected, I hereby grant permission to screen the above mentioned at North Hollywood CineFest. In addition, proceeds made by North Hollywood CineFest will go to North Hollywood CineFest, selected charities and sponsors. Submission information and screeners will be utilized solely for the purpose of helping the selected parties advance their careers by showcasing the work to industry peers and executives.
IMPORTANT: Submission FEES are NON-REFUNDABLE. Foreign language films must have subtitles. Note: Dates and guidelines subject to change without prior notice.
