MISSION & OBJECTIVE

Toronto Shorts International Film Festival provides a showcase for the best short-form cinema and its creators in the world.

We feel that short form cinema and its creators should have their own premier film festival in Toronto deserving similar recognition given to the feature film and its creators. The heart of the festival will be our quality and scope of extraordinary film programming.


ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Toronto Shorts International Film Festival is a where films from a wide spectrum intersect. Animated, documentaries, comedies, fictions, genre films or graduation shorts from some of the finest film schools out there will take you on a unique journey into young film creation. Just relax and enjoy the thrill.

Films must NOT have screened in Toronto prior to our festival.

Entering your film to Toronto Shorts could result in having your film competing in one of the most sought-after selection of films.

Having a short film in Toronto Shorts is one of the most exciting experiences you can get for your short film.

GENERAL RULES

FILM REQUIREMENTS

Films must NOT have screened in a SHORT FILM FESTIVAL in Toronto.

Films must have been completed after Jan. 1, 2016
All non-English films must have English sub-titles.
Films must be submitted via online screener.
Works-in-progress will be considered, provided they will be completed prior to the festival.
Please do NOT send stills or press kits. If your film is selected we will ask you to email us a still image.
You may submit more than one film, but you must complete a separate entry form and pay entry fee for each film.

SELECTION
Film selection for the festival will be made by the screening committee.
All filmmakers will be notified via email of acceptance.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Toronto Shorts is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes.

The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.

The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Toronto Shorts from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
