MISSION & OBJECTIVE
BENT-CON is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that was created in 2010 to create awareness, promote, encourage, celebrate and appreciate LGBTQ and our Allies contributions to comic-book, gaming, scifi, fantasy and horror mediums from artists, writers, creators, publishers, directors, actors, and producers, that create works targeted directly to LGBT audiences or the larger realm of underground and mainstream pop-culture as a whole.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Bent-Con is the world's largest con devoted to LGBT contributions to pop-culture, especially around the Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror genres! As part of our event, we showcase original films and media from those genres that appeal to LGBT audiences.

Our first priority is to genre flicks with GLBT characters and themes, such as scifi films where the rugged space-jock kisses the boys, horror films where the intrepid girl-in-danger likes the girls, and fantasy flicks where the hobbits are no longer afraid to hide their forbidden love affair with the dragon of the Lonely Mountain.

But we’re also looking for openly gay writers, directors, actors and producers making content for mainstream audiences, underground audiences, films and series we also enjoy. It’s important for our community to support its members making content for everyone — even if we like stuff just for us a bit more — especially when that content includes us too.
