The intent of MiSciFi is to showcase the best in Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, Comedy, Supernatural, Animation and other imaginatively-themed films from around the world. This celebration is set in the trendy and progressively global megalopolis of Miami Florida. Our creative and inspirational environment is ideal to explore films that ponder the infinite possibilities our multiverse holds.

The creators of this film festival are scientists themselves, passionately driven to explore all things science, fiction and fact. They support and inspire the local community through their own filmmaking.

The festival is held at the lavish Hyatt Regency Hotel, centrally located in downtown Miami Florida. It is adjacent to the scenic Miami River, the Riverwalk and a few blocks from the famous Mary Brickell Village.

Submit your own extraordinary cinematic achievement to the Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival for a celestial experience!

Decisions of the Screening Committee and Judges are final.

MiSciFi does not pay screening fees under any circumstance. By submitting your film, you are agreeing to screen your film without a screening fee or any other compensation if selected.

NOTE: Should your film be chosen for the 2017 Festival, film stills should be at least 8 inches x 4.5 inches, 300 dpi high resolution and clearly labeled.

Provide at least one digital image in landscape and another image in portrait format. Additional formats, social media and related information will be requested upon acceptance.

Films submitted to the MiSciFi festival will be promoted on our website, in printed materials (such as the festival program) and in our press and marketing activity (this can include presenting films that we have selected to the press). The filmmaker gives us the right to use the name of the film, the images submitted for the uses listed. We also inquire if the filmmaker wants to screen their film at tours or similar activities; as we often get asked to provide guest spots at other festivals and events.

Once a film is officially accepted to the festival, the filmmaker can no longer withdraw it from the festival lineup. The filmmaker is also responsible for submitting the screening materials at least four weeks before the festival. If the screening will be a world premiere, please let us know as we will do our best to promote to the local community, and please keep us abreast of production and marketing activities!

Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt (about 1 minute or less) from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival or its assignees, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
