The intent of MiSciFi is to showcase the best in Horror, Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other science-themed films from around the world. This jubilee is set in the trendy yet enticingly diverse metropolis of Miami, Florida. Our inspirational environment is ideal to explore films that ponder the infinite possibilities our universe holds.

The creators of this film festival are scientists themselves, passionately driven to explore all things science, fiction and fact. They support and inspire the local community through their own filmmaking.

The festival is held at the luxurious Hyatt Regency Hotel in the middle of downtown Miami, Florida. It is adjacent to the scenic Miami River, the Riverwalk and a few blocks from the famous Mary Brickell Village.

Decisions of the Screening Committee and Judges are final.

NOTE: Should your film be chosen for the 2014 Festival, film stills should be at least 8 inches x 4.5 inches, 300 dpi high resolution, clearly labeled, and horizontal orientation if possible.


Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival or its assignees, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
