HollyShorts Monthly Screenings Official Rules

All entries submitted are eligible for screening at one of our monthly screenings throughout the year in Los Angeles (Chinese Theatre) or New York City, among other potential cities ie Austin, Miami, Ashland, etc.

Employees (and their immediate families (parent, spouse, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related) of HollyShorts and any of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies or festival sponsors, are not eligible to win. There is no limit on the number of short films you can submit; however, each short film submitted by you must be original and different from any other short film submitted by you, submitted on a separate DVD or Stream and accompanied by its own completed submission form and participant agreement. Short films may be a maximum of 40 minutes in length, must be in English or subtitled in English and must be submitted on DVD or stream in NTSC format. PAL format or any other format will not be accepted. HollyShorts reserves the right to reject any short film that it determines, in its sole and absolute discretion, contains prohibited content or is offensive, inappropriate or otherwise unacceptable. All eligible entries received by HollyShorts will be judged by the HollyShorts selection committee.

By submitting your film for consideration for the HollyShorts Monthly Screenings, you agree for HollyShorts to screen your short film if selected for one of the monthly events and are obligated to your commitment. Films submitted and selected to the HollyShorts Monthly Screenings are not eligible for the HollyShorts Film Festival aside from the audience vote winners (only Los Angeles monthly audience vote winners are eligible for the automatic 2015 HollyShorts Film Festival entry). Submissions to the annual HSFF are separate from the monthly screening series.

If selected, I hereby grant permission to screen the above mentioned at the HollyShorts Monthly Screenings. In addition, proceeds made by HollyShorts will go to HollyShorts, selected charities and sponsors. Submission information and screeners will be utilized solely for the purpose of helping the selected parties advance their careers by showcasing the work to industry peers and executives.
