MISSION & OBJECTIVE
MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT! Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Screenings for The Classic City International Film Festival´╗┐ will be RESCHEDULED! We are working with the theater now for the new date! All WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED THIS WEEKEND (4-5-2014)! Thank you for your understanding.

The Classic City International Film Festival is an annual event for filmmakers (professionals and students) and film lovers alike that was founded and is operated by real-active-independent filmmakers who know exactly what all of you go through to bring your dreams and ideas to the screen. In the shadows of the University of Georgia in the great city of Athens, the CCIFF will seek to fill our program each year with a superb program of feature films, shorts, docs, music videos, foreign films, from around the world and still maintain a special student film and homegrown Georgia film category. The CCIFF seeks to embrace films and filmmakers from the "no budget" to the "big budget" level - we know from experience what you go through and it's time to celebrate your great work!

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Founded by the small group of filmmakers behind Spirit World Productions, an independent film production company out of Atlanta; the CCIFF is about REAL independent filmmaking, filmmakers, audiences, distributors and film professionals establishing a relationship and supporting independent film.

CCIFF embraces our indie roots and intends to run along side much larger and more commercialized festivals in the Atlanta area in the Spring of 2014 - April 5-7 and will showcase an average of over 100 films, docs, and music videos from all over the globe, covering a variety of subjects and genres. The festival is quickly generating much buzz in the Southeast and even more in the great state of Georgia - better known as the Hollywood of the South ! With numerous filmmakers, casting agents, talent agencies, production companies, distributors, producers and film fans being a part of this event and attending screenings, Q & A sessions, filmmaker panels, parties and receptions, The Classic City International Film Festival is a festival that you don't want to miss!

Boasting a broad, unrestricted selection of films and screenplays, the CCIFF presents genre-specific awards for Best HORROR FEATURE, DRAMA FEATURE, Best COMEDY FEATURE, Best MUSIC VIDEO, Best DOCUMENTARY, Best Short Film, Best LOCAL and STUDENT Film, Best SCREENPLAY (in competition) as well as Award Certificates for Best Directing, Best Actor and Actress, Best Cinematography, Best Writing, Best Editing and Festival Director's Choice and AUDIENCE AWARD. We expect many of our selections and winners to go on to further success on the festival circuit and many of our films will have every opportunity to gain distribution.

SELECTION PROCESS:

As indie filmmakers, who have been and still are where many of you are now, we have made every effort to make our selection process completely transparent.
All films will be judged by a panel of 9 judges and based on a universal scoring system where judges score films 1-10 in 12 categories (including categories such as cinematography, editing, sound etc)
The top 15 features in each genre category and the top 25 music videos, shorts, and docs will be reevaluated by the original panel as well as 2 guest judges using the same guidelines to determine which films will be selected for inclusion in the festival
All award winners will be notified on the last day of the festival!
