Student Film
Open to all student film makers aged 16+.
We accept all genres of SHORT Films.
All films must be under 30 minutes.

We will showcase those films that are innovative; beautiful; funny; shocking or tell a great story.

Awards for Best Comedy; Best Drama and Best overall Short will be awarded.
Other awards will be announced closer to the Festival.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE

The Henley Film Festival is a competition open to all film makers. We are interested in new and experienced film makers who want to screen their material, push boundaries and create innovative film for our audiences.




ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The Henley Fringe & Film Festival.

2015 will be the second year of the FILM FESTIVAL in Henley on Thames.Last year we were overwhelmed by the number of film submissions. We were delighted to award the following films :

Best Short : Drone Strike

Over 16 : O Jago

Student : Asta

Animation : The Wires

The Henley FILM Festival has been created to give independent film makers a platform to screen their work in a prestigious town which supports the arts.

The Industry Selection Panel attached to the FILM FESTIVAL are all working in the UK industry to date as directors ; producers; casting directors or agents.

Film makers will showcase their films and receive recognition by OFFICIAL SELECTION and the opportunity to win awards. For all film lovers, Henley offers the opportunity to see some of the most innovative; original; ground breaking and emotionally challenging shorts.

GENERAL RULES

GENERAL FESTIVAL RULES :

Festival Dates :
25th - 27th July 2014
Submissions are OPEN.

All files must be submitted on region 2 DVD; region 0 DVD or USB drive. They should be clearly labelled with the TITLE; RUNNING TIME and CONTACT DETAILS.

Submitted copies will not be returned.

Only one film per DVD is accepted.

FEES : All entry fees are NON REFUNDABLE.

If you film is selected we will request digital images and press material relating to your film.

All foreign films must be subtitled in ENGLISH.
All rights, permissions and clearances must be obtained prior to submissions and applicants must ensure that they have the right to submit work with regard to third parties connected with the production of the film in question. This includes all film and music rights and clearances have been obtained in accordance with UK copyright laws. By entering your film you agree to this and the responsibilities involved. The Henley Fringe and Film Festival will assume no responsibility for violation or infringement of copyright law.
Films must abide by the legal constraints of film classification. Please refer to the British Board of Film Classification Guidelines.
Your film must meet these conditions. WE DO NOT REFUND ANY SUBMISSION FEES.

PRIZES
Details of all prizes will be announced in June 2014.

SELECTION
Selection will be carried out by the appointed industry judges. We will inform all successful applicants in JUNE 2014.

FESTIVAL SCREENINGS
All screenings will take place during 25th - 27th July 2014 at the discretion of the festival.
All screening copies of films must be received by JULY 1st 2014.

Submissions to the HENLEY FRINGE AND FILM FESTIVAL implies acceptance of the rules outlined above.
