Feature-length narrative films (50 min. or more) that relate to or discuss the topics of faith, gender or sexuality, ideally with the intersection of two or more simultaneously.
MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Level Ground uses art to create safe space for dialogue about faith, gender, and sexuality. Our hope is to cultivate a better way of speaking with one another across our differences and disagreements.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Level Ground Film + Arts Festival is the only faith-based LGBT film festival in the world and fills an important niche in both the film-festival circuit and the wider national dialogue about faith, gender, and sexuality.
By focusing on small-venue programming, offering intimate discussions and provocative panels featuring prominent leaders, writers, artists, scientists, and theologians, the festival is national innovator in film-festival programming, art curation, and LGBT dialogue. ORGANIZERS
A.C. Neel (Festival Registrar)
All entries will be reviewed by the Festival Selection Team who will also determine a short list of nominees for the Festival juried awards. Once a film is submitted for entry, it may not be withdrawn.
To be eligible for a juried award a film cannot have screened or been broadcast on television in the Los Angeles Area prior to the Festival.
The Festival prefers not to pay screening fees; instead we choose to invest our limited resources in producing the best possible showcase for your work and promoting your work as widely as possible.
We apologize, but we are unable to provide feedback regarding why films were or were not accepted to the festival.
