Austin Short Film Fest distinguishes between shorts under 30 minutes and long shorts between 30 and 45 minutes in all categories.
MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Austin International Short Film Festival provides a showcase for the best short-form cinema and its creators in the world.
We feel that short form cinema and its creators should have their own premier film festival in Austin deserving similar recognition given to the feature film and its creators. The heart of the festival will be our quality and scope of extraordinary film programming.
In order to showcase the best short films and its filmmakers from around the world, we created the Austin International Short Film Festival

Austin stands as one of the great cities for filmmakers and independent movie making in the U.S.. Now Austin can boast a premiere international short film festival to add to it's reputation.

Films must have been completed after Jan. 1, 2014
All non-English films must have English sub-titles.
Films must be submitted via Online screeners.
Works-in-progress will be considered, provided they will be completed prior to the Festival.
Please do NOT send stills or press kits. If your film is selected we will ask you to email us a still image.
You may submit more than one film, but you must complete a separate entry form and pay entry fee for each film.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Austin Short Film Fest is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Austin Short Film Fest from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
