ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Connecting the Indie Filmmakers and Film Students with a panel of Expert and Celebrity Judges all Working in the Indie Community:

Judges featured on iHOLLY have included:
Joe Charbanic (director of The Watcher)
Uwe Boll (Director of over 30 feature films and C.E.O. of Boll World Sales)
Darwin Brooks (A.D.: 47 Ronin, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Alexander, Syriana, etc...)
Bill Oberst jr. (Day-Time-Emmy-Winning Actor best known for his role CBS-TV's Criminal Minds)
Catherine Mary Stewart (actress best known for her lead role in Weekend at Bernie's)
Giorgio Serafini (director of Game of Death)
Alfonso Freeman (actor best known for his rolls in: Shawshank Redemption, Seven, & Bucket List)
Gary King (Raindance-winning director)

GENERAL RULES

The festival "screenings" shall will be optional on acceptance into the festival. Screenings will be on the iHOLLY website in which case a link to the trailer, short, or full film will be requested for the screenings, but not required. iHOLLY's focus on on awards, distribution, and greenlighting productions.

Content must be suitable for what would be an R or lesser rating.

The panel of expert and celebrity judges (listed above) shall make their evaluation for the Holly’s from the top 10 finalists from the film and screenplay competitions.

In the case of limited funding from iHOLLY’s sponsors, it maybe necessary to only give out one Holly and therefore one $1,000 cash prize instead of two, one for the screenplays and one for the films.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By submitting either film or screenplay to iHOLLY the submitter makes no commitment to distribution or production through iHOLLY. Both the distribution deal and greenlight are optional offers which the recipient of the Holly may evaluate and choose to accept or reject.

iHOLLY is an online film festival; those films which makes festival selection will be eligable to be showcased on the iHOLLY website in which case a link to the trailer, short, or full film maybe submitted to iHOLLY for the show case. By submitting to iHolly, the submitter confirms that he or she has all necessary rights to engage in this submission and showcase process.

Content must be suitable for what would be an R or lesser rating.

The panel of expert and celebrity judges (listed above) shall make their evaluation for the Holly’s from the top 10 finalists from the film and screenplay competitions.

In the case of limited funding from iHOLLY’s sponsors and/or limited script submissions, the budget and length of the screenplay to be greenlit maybe considered as a factor in awarding the Holly. In the case that the yearly funding does not meet festival overhead, the greenlight maybe postponed indefinitely and the $1,000 award maybe diminished accordingly.
