Documentary
DOXA seeks to expand the definition of "documentary" and solicits and presents films of all lengths, genres and subjects in the realm of the documentary. More weight is given to projects which do not take a journalistic or commercial approach.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE
DOXA is presented by the Documentary Media Society, a Vancouver based non-profit, charitable society (incorporated in 1998) devoted to presenting independent and innovative documentaries to Vancouver audiences. The society exists to educate the public about documentary film as an art form through DOXA – a curated and juried festival comprised of public screenings, workshops, panel discussions and public forums.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The DOXA Documentary Film Festival is the only festival in Vancouver, Canada dedicated to the art of documentary. Each spring we draw filmmakers and audiences together in one of the world's most beautiful cities for outstanding films and conversation. DOXA is a 10 day festival!
