MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The Twin Rivers Media Festival supports independent media artists, audio artists, and writers by exposing their work to the artistic community of Asheville, NC throughout the year.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Over $5000 in awards and publication by Black Mountain Press. Up to 120 selected films will be awarded as well as 1st, 2nd, 3rd (sometimes more or less) in each category depending on the amount of entries received in that category. Most selected film awards will be shown during the festival opening dates but others are shown throughout the year at the Courtyard Gallery as part of their ongoing World Cinema and Potluck Cinema Series.

Our multimedia festival offers submission to the following Divisions:

* Film and Video
* CD Multimedia
* Internet Media
* Audio
* Script Writing
* Outdoor Writing

We accept media in the Animation/Graphic, Feature, Narrative, Drama/Short, Experimental/Visual, Documentary, Commercial/Promotional, Outdoor and Soundtrack categories.

Entries will be juried by filmmakers, audio artists, videographers, graphic designers, media scholars, students and marketing professionals.

July 11-13, 2014 Asheville, NC venues: includes the Courtyard Gallery, the Flood Gallery and UNCA Asheville

ELIGIBILITY

Film & Video Division

All lengths and formats are eligible.
A VHS preview tape is acceptable for entries.

If your work is accepted for screening, an acceptable format must be provided by the Festival Dates.

Works must have been completed in the last year.

All entries must be original.

Additional materials such as synopses, stills, biographies, articles, credits, etc. are helpful for publicity and interest, but are not required.

JUDGING

Entries will be juried by filmmakers, audio artists, videographers, graphic designers,
media scholars, students and marketing professionals depending on the division entered.

NOTE: script awards will be announced Sept, 2014.
