This year’s Screamfest will be held at a prestigious Los Angeles area theater. Screamfest premieres and showcases new work from American and international independent horror filmmakers. Film entries are accepted in the categories of Best Feature, Directing, Cinematography, Editing, Special Effects and Musical Score. The festival has hosted many famous filmmakers as guests, including Sam Raimi, Williiam Friedkin, Wes Craven, Eli Roth, James Wan, Zack Snyder, David Slade, Stan Winston, Sean Cunningham, Tim Sullivan and James Franco.. Screamfest has also introduced some major horror films onto the world, including American Mary, The Human Centipede, À l'intérieur (Inside), Martyrs, 30 Days Of Night, Trick 'r Treat, Paranormal Activity, A Tale of Two Sisters, Ju-On, Alone, David Arquette's The Tripper, Automaton Transfusion, Wolf Creek, Curandero, Feast, Three... Extremes, 2001 Maniacs, Cube: Zero, and many more.
