I had a fantastic experience at BIFF. It was such a pleasure to take part in a festival that celebrates such a diverse collection of films and filmmakers. Not only to be able to experience this world class festival, but to also receive the Shining Star tribute, was an incredible honor. Leslie Vanderpool and BIFF have created a wonderful community in which artists from all over the world come to share in the experience of cinema, and I can't think of a more beautiful place to do that than the Bahamas. Sydney Tamiia Poitier, BIFF Honoree
