MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The Adelaide Film Festival presents a festival which celebrates and explores contemporary international screen culture with a unique program of screenings and special events.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Adelaide Film Festival creates, presents and markets a challenging and inventive screening program accompanied by a substantial forum program which profiles and explores key program themes and approaches to screen practice. The festival will be relevant to both the general public and the industry, attracting a broad audience demographic and introducing this audience to innovative areas of screen practice.
It reflects current and future trends in the film and screen-based industries.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES - ADELAIDE FILM FESTIVAL 2013
AFF accepts feature films and shorts (drama, documentary, experimental and animation) made in Australia and internationally.
Short films are considered to be under 50 minutes in length.
All submissions must have been completed after February 2011.
Works broadcast on Australian television or on the internet prior to AFF(10 October 2013) are ineligible.
Works screened at other Australian film festivals are admissible.
Feature films screened previously in Adelaide are ineligible except by negotiation.
Short films screened previously in Adelaide are eligible.
DVDs should be labelled with title, contact details and duration. Submitted DVDs will not be returned.
All applicants will be notified about selection by email in August 2013. Selection is determined by preview committees.
Selected submissions are eligible for the following AFF awards
Audience Award – Best Fiction Feature
Audience Award – Best Documentary Feature
Audience Award – Best Short Film
Selection into the International Award for Best Feature Film Competition and Best Documentary Award is only by invitation from AFF.
All works selected for AFF will be presented in English or in their original language with English subtitles on 35mm, HD CAM, DPC, Digital Betacam, Beta SP (PAL or NTSC format).
Films that are solely training, scientific, promotional or educational films are not eligible.
Submission materials should NOT include publicity materials. Once you have been informed that your film has been selected you will then be asked to provide publicity materials.
DVD (PAL/NTSC). DVcam tapes are not accepted for preview purposes. Please test computer-burned DVDs on several makes and models of players before sending. DVD+RW and DVD-RW discs are not accepted.

I consent permission for excerpts or clips not exceeding three minutes to be used for promotional purposes on television, radio programs and the internet. I certify that all rights and clearances have been obtained. I agree that my film may be submitted for consideration in any awards that may be made in the context of AFF. I have read and accept the rules and regulations of AFF.
