Prior to each series, TheCinemaSource.com holds a contest asking emerging filmmakers to submit their best short film (under 12 minutes) to be reviewed by our board. This board will consist of TheCinemaSource staff members as well as select members from our sponsor companies for that particular series.
Winners of the contest will have their film shown on the BIG SCREEN just prior to a major motion picture screening of a soon-to-be-released film from studios such as Twentieth Century FOX, Universal Pictures, DreamWorks SKG, Paramount Pictures, etc.
In addition, winners will also receive prizes such as funding for their next film, film and camera equipment as well as other resources to be put towards the development of their next film project. Last Year's Grand Prize Winner walked away with over $3,000!
All applicants and winners alike will also be invited to attend a wrap party to be held in a downtown New York City venue following the final screening in each series. Various studio executives and other industry professionals will also be present during these wrap parties.
