MISSION & OBJECTIVE

The Bridgetown Film Festival provides a channel through which Barbadian and Caribbean filmmakers showcase their works to local, regional and international audiences. This forum encourages Barbadian and Caribbean filmmakers to produce more work and improve their craft. This will bring us closer to a sustainable film industry in Barbados and the Caribbean.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The Bridgetown Film Festival wants to expose the Barbadian public to the different Cinemas, and will screen interesting and fresh independent films from Filmmakers across the Caribbean region and the rest of the World.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

There is no submission fee.

The deadline for submissions to the 2006 Bridgetown Film Festival is 31st March 2006. Filmmakers wishing to submit work after this deadline must first seek the permission of the Bridgetown Film Festival Director. All late entries will be required to pay an additional US $50.00.

All productions submitted to the Bridgetown Film Festival must be NTSC only and be on one of the following formats: Beta SP, DVD, Mini DV, VHS and 35mm.

The Bridgetown Film Festival Committee reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any film or video production to be screened at the Bridgetown Film Festival. Unfinished works i.e. rough cuts will not be eligible, unless completed by April 2006.

All productions submitted to the Bridgetown Film Festival that qualify for screening during the festival will be used strictly for the purposes of the festival which could include single or multiple screening(s), and promotion of the festival.

Promotion will include, but is not limited to, press advertising and coverage, television and radio interviews and advertisements, and postings on www.bridgetownfilmfestival.com.

All qualified film and video productions submitted to the Bridgetown Film Festival are required to provide
a synopsis of 50 words or less about the production or press kit if available
the list of cast and crew, and
a small photograph representing the production along with material
trailer of the film submitted would be welcomed
Submission to the festival constitutes agreement with all the regulations set forth here.
