MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The Riverside International Film Festival continues to grow in size, scope and stature as a prominent venue for top quality international cinema, showing films from around the world, including world premieres, features, shorts and documentaries.
The City of Riverside, a major center of arts and culture in Inland Southern California, proudly welcomes the international film community and audiences who enjoy and appreciate entertaining, enlightening, inspiring and provocative stories of our world, as told by some of the industry's most innovative filmmakers and up-and-coming directors.
RIFF has attracted many global entries from France, Germany, China, Korea, Japan, Mexico, Argentina, Africa and India and from all over the US. The event kicks off with a huge networking party, followed by 10 days of screenings, red carpet premieres, and panels with industry executives and after-parties.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The eleventh anniversary year of RIFF in 2013 will be bigger and better than ever. In addition to audience awards for favorite feature, documentary and short film, RIFF will offer a jury award to the film judged best from Southern California, our local area. Jury awards will also be given for Best Film and Best Director. Student films will be shown and honored on a separate night this year.
Before and after the festival, the audience favorites and other select films may be given additional showings.
RIFF holds a huge opening gala and closing ceremony wherein film makers are encouraged to mingle with executive staff, producers, distributors and other film agencies. Many actors, directors and creative staff from the selected features attend as well.
