MISSION & OBJECTIVE
It is the goal and mission of the Trail Dance Film Festival to Encourage Originality, Creativity and to Promote the Growing Film Industry of Oklahoma.


ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Trail Dance Film Festival is the perfect opportunity for independent filmmakers to present their work to a supportive audience ... in a competitive environment which rewards creativity and excellence in a variety of industry specific pursuits.

Trail Dance 2014 will be held January 24-25th at the Jack A. Maurer Convention Center (located within the Simmons Center) and the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center (Named in April 2009 as one of the Top 10 Western Museums in the United States). Both venues are outfitted with High Quality Audio and HD Video Capabilities.

Trail Dance will kick off the 2014 festival with the 8th Annual "Where the Beer and the Buffalo Foam" meet-and-greet and culminate with the Golden Drover Awards Show.

GENERAL RULES
All genres will be accepted for entry with the exception of Adult Oriented subject matter. Trail Dance encourages filmmaker's to submit Family Oriented and Western films, yet accepts and awards all genres including but not limited to Drama, Comedy, Thriller, Horror, Religion, Satire, Animation, Experimental, and Science Fiction (just to name a few). Over 20 custom sculpted Golden Drover awards will be presented to deserving filmmakers during our Awards Gala on closing night.

Entry & Screening:
Entry & Screening materials will not be returned unless paid shipping is provided. All entries must be submitted on DVD or Blu-Ray. Entry fees must be in U.S. Dollars and received in form of U.S. Bank Check or Money Order. Online payments are also accepted. Entry fees are non-negotiable and non-refundable. All entries selected for screening receive two (2) full event passes in addition to other benefits. TRAIL DANCE FILM FESTIVAL DOES NOT ACCEPT PORNOGRAPHY or EXCESSIVE VULGARITY. Accepted entries will be requested to provide additional materials including Digital Poster, Filmmaker-Director Bio, Black & White or Color still, and a Cast/Credit information sheet. Trail Dance will contact applicants at various times regarding their film, thus an e-mail address is required. Screening dates, times and number of screenings is at the sole discretion of the festival programmer. ALL FILMS MUST HAVE BEEN PRODUCED FOR LESS THAN $5,500,000.00 USD. By digitally signing and submitting an entry, submitter expressly agrees to be bound by the terms of the official rules and regulations including but not limited to release of their submission. Additionally, submitter expressly states that he/she/they have the authority to waive any interest, right, or claim of any other party may have with regard to their interest in the submission. Further submitters expressly agrees to defend and hold the Association harmless from any claim arising out the Associations use or release of the submission.

Ownership & Copyrights: Individuals (or Organizations) submitting a film to the Trail Dance Film Festival Association (the Association) must either be credited as a writer, director, or producer. All images, music, and concepts must be original in nature or used under permission from the original artist. If there is debate upon any items presented in a film, proof of copyright, ownership, or permission for the materials in question will be required. PLAGIARISM IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN AND WILL DISQUALIFY ENTRIES. Trail Dance reserves the right to use video excerpts and press materials for publicity and promotional purposes from accepted works.
