Screenplay Competition

MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Women in Film & Video / New England's annual screenwriting competition aims to promote the work of women screenwriters and support the creation of worthy film roles for women.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Women in Film & Video / New England's annual screenwriting competition aims to promote the work of women screenwriters and support the creation of worthy film roles for women. Each year, the volume of entries grows.

Aspiring screenwriters (women and men) are invited to enter. Entries must be authored or co-authored by a woman and/or feature a woman or women in prominent roles. The grand prize winners in 2003 and 2009 received film options soon after the wins were announced.




GENERAL RULES
Screenplay must be either authored or co-authored by a woman, and/or feature a woman in a prominent role. Screenplays must be between 80 and 120 pages.
Do NOT include author's name in submitted script.
Do NOT include author's name in the pdf script file name. Screenplay titles ONLY.
Screenplay title MUST be included in submitted pdf script.
If author's name is indicated, or screenplay title not present, the entrant will be disqualified!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By entering, you agree and attest: 1. The information supplied in this entry form is complete and correct. 2. As the author(s)/director/producer of the screenplay submitted to the Women in Film & Video/New England 11th Annual Screenwriting Competition, I (we) warrant as sole and exclusive owner(s) of all legal and title thereto have absolute authority to submit the enclosed material to the Women in Film & Video/New England 11th Annual Screenwriting Competition. 3. I (we) will indemnify and hold harmless Women in Film & Video/New England 11th Annual Screenwriting Competition, its judges, sponsors and partners, individually and collectively, from and against all claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, liabilities and expenses including legal expenses arising out of or in connection with any and all claims, or third party claims based on material submitted to the Women in Film & Video/New England 11th Annual Screenwriting Competition. 4. Competition finalists and winners authorize Women in Film & Video/New England 11th Annual Screenwriting Competition to use their script title, log line, name and/or likeness & publicity stills in pre & post-competition publicity and marketing materials, including the festival website. 5. I (we) assert that I am (we are) eligible for the competition, and that I (we) will notify the Women in Film & Video/New England 11th Annual Screenwriting Competition if I (we) become ineligible prior to the conclusion of the competition. 6. I (we) have read, understand and agree to, and will abide by, all of the rules & regulations posted for the Women in Film & Video/New England 11th Annual Screenwriting Competition. 7. I (we) understand and agree that providing false or misleading information on this entry form, or failing in any other way to comply with the rules of the competition, will subject me (us) to disqualification, forfeiture of prize(s) and/or other penalties. 8.
