From commercial specs to animation, experimental, documentaries, music videos, classic narratives, and since 2009, the creation of a special 3D stereoscopic category, BeFilm selects the best cinematic expressions to hit the screens.

Aiming at becoming the largest short film festival on the East Coast, BeFilm provides a cultural and entertaining forum while recognizing and honoring emerging independent filmmakers with the help of a panel of judges from the entertainment industry that reviews films and presents the awards.

Previously called TRIBECA UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL in existence since 2004, we had to change our name at the request of Tribeca Film Festival. For more info on our history go to www.TribecaUndergroundFilmFestival.org

The festival has grown and is now in its twelfth year, showcasing the best national and international short films in animation, documentary, music videos, experimental, commercial specs, stereoscopic 3D, and narrative categories. Focusing on the fact that "Shorter is Better"in 2008 the festival even opened a category of possible submissions of Spec Commercials. Since 2009, we also accept 3D Stereoscopic films in all existing categories, and they have become part of our daily programs all along the festival.

The Film Festival will take place in Manhattan April 20 - 25, 2015
at the 500 Park Avenue Screening Room (SW corner of 59th St & Park Avenue).
