Kansas International Film Festival is a celebration of independently produced films accepting competition entries in documentary and narrative. We award a jury award in each category. In its 16th year, KIFF continues to attract bigger audiences each year. Past festival guests include horror filmmaker George Romero, special effects wizard Tom Savini, experimental filmmakers Guy Maddin, Barbara Hammer and Stan Brakhage, executive director of Women Make Movies Debra Zimmerman, actors Scott Biao, Tony Todd, and Daveigh Chase, Sci Fi director Ray Harryhausen, and Forest Akerman.
