MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The 12th Annual Atlanta International Documentary Film Festival (DocuFest) is an annual celebration of documentary films and filmmakers.
DocuFest brings you the best in independent documentary film and video from across the globe and showcases meaningful life stories which educate and entertain audiences of every demographic.
We encourage talented documentary filmmakers from every country to enter their short and feature length documentary films. Come share your story with our audience, and meet other documentary filmmakers from all over the world.

ATLANTA FILM SERIES:
Docufest is held as part of the Atlanta Film Series, a four-month showcase of independent film packed with events designed to spotlight every genre of cinema imaginable.
The scorching summer months of July and August bring the Atlanta's Summer Film Series, with award-winning short films showcased at Atlanta Shortsfest, and the top independent features and shorts at Atlanta Underground Film Festival.
Atlanta's Fall Film Series, held September and October, showcase unforgettable documentary films during the Atlanta Docufest, and a terrifying celebration of the top horror films from across the globe at Atlanta Horror Film Festival.
All of the Atlanta Film Series events are held at The Sychronicity Theatre, a 140-seat theater right in the heart of the Midtown/Uptown neighborhood, on Peachtree St. in the Peachtree Pointe building. With a great restaurant next door, hotels nearby and safe, easy parking, Synchronicity Theatre is the new hub for intimate in-town entertainment.

We accept entries via Withoutabox's Secure On-line Screeners or another online source such as Vimeo. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to send a hard-copy of your project.
Cost of shipping exhibition prints to the festival is the responsibility of the entrant. Exhibition copies must be sent to the festival prepaid. The festival cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of materials while in transit. Please use as little packaging material as possible.
Entry fees must be in U.S. funds only.
SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
Programming decisions are made by the festival directors and our selection committee. If accepted, we will notify filmmakers by email. After acceptance, the exhibition format will need to be in our office two weeks before the festival. Be sure to indicate aspect ratio of your film/video as well as any other special screening/presentation information we might need to know. We do not pay rental fees for submitted work that is programmed.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Atlanta Docufest is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes.
The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.
The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Atlanta Docufest from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
