MISSION & OBJECTIVE

The Other Film Festival (TOFF) screens contemporary cinema made by, with or about people with a disability and/or Deaf people. TOFF prides itself in showcasing the very best stories of the disability and Deaf communities from around Australia and around the world.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The Other Film Festival (TOFF) is the Australia's leading international disability film festival. Since 2004, the festival has screened contemporary cinema concerned with the lived experience of disability and Deafness. The festival offers a highly accessible cinema experience to everyone, with audio description, open captioning and Auslan interpreters.

Encompassing Forums, Workshops and inclusive discussion panels TOFF has grown to become an important fixture in Melbourne's cultural landscape. The festival reflects the wants and needs of the disability/ Deaf community with forums on inclusivity, technology and the place of disability within Australian screen culture.

The festival is constantly growing and this is reflected in increased prize money and categories for 2018.

The festival will take place in Melbourne during November 2018.
