MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Thriller! Chiller! honors the tradition of great independent genre cinema.

Substance and style are the keys to playing at Thriller! Chiller! We want to discover those filmmakers who are inspired to tell us a story.

Thriller! Chiller! is home of The Boomstick! Award! for Best Michigan Film. All exhibiting films are in consideration for The Groovys, the coolest handcrafted trophies awarded in five thrilling categories: Best FX!, Best Thrill!, Best Chill!, Best Short! and Best Feature! The Groovy awards are uniquely redesigned for each festival year.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Thriller! Chiller! is the original alternative film festival in Michigan. We honor the tradition of great independent genre cinema. Since 2006, we have played hundreds of short and feature independent films focused on the genres of ACTION, HORROR, SCI-FI and SUSPENSE!

Thriller! Chiller! has a great respect for the filmmakers we play and we love our audience. We encourage audience participation and interaction. We strive to offer great exhibition of our selected films. We look for the films that are destined to become the cult classics of the future. We play the kinds of movies people enjoy discovering. The movies that make people cringe, laugh, jump and cheer. There's something for everyone at Thriller! Chiller!

Anthony and Chris are the directors of the Thriller! Chiller! Film Festival and are filmmakers themselves. They started this festival in 2006 because they truly love this stuff and they didn't see the kinds of movies they loved accepted into other "traditional" film festivals. They created Thriller! Chiller! because they wanted a film festival that they would want to attend.

Thriller! Chiller! is truly something different and special in West Michigan and our audience grows ever larger every year. We hope to see you there in 2014!

Thriller! Chiller!

Because we love this stuff.

GENERAL RULES
DO NOT SEND PRESS KIT MATERIALS WITH YOUR SUBMISSION SCREENERS! Please send only the TWO (2) requested DVD screeners. Any additional materials will be discarded. We will request press materials if your movie is selected to play in the festival. We will also request a Youtube link to your trailer at that time.

To qualify as a Michigan film, the majority of the movie must be shot in Michigan and must have Michigan residents on the crew.

All competition winners are chosen by our panel of festival judges from submitted films that are selected in pre-selection by THE THRILLER! CHILLER! FILM FESTIVAL (TCFF) to screen during the festival.

All movie submissions to TCFF must include a check or money order for the full submission entry fee amount made payable to "Thriller Chiller, LLC" (U.S. Currency), and TWO (2) clearly labeled DVD (Region 0 or 1) copies of your movie labeled with your name, WAB tracking number, address, contact phone number, email address, the movie's title, and the movie's total running time. All submitted movies must be in English, or dubbed and/or subtitled in English. A press kit is not necessary unless your movie is selected.

Do not put sticker or paper labels on your DVDs. They ruin disc drives.

Please do not send us your master copies. All submitting and attending filmmakers must be 18 years or older to attend any TCFF event where liquor will be available. All TCFF selections and/or decisions are final. Each movie is judged solely on its merits. We only accept original works mainly of the horror, sci-fi, suspense action or thriller genres or any combination or mix of these genres. Interpretation of what qualifies for these genres will be left up to the entrant.

Only one movie per DVD. If entering more than one movie, you must submit each movie separately. Exhibition copies of selected movies must be received by TCFF no later than September 26, 2014.

All payments to TCFF must be made payable to "Thriller Chiller, LLC". Domestically, we accept checks, money orders, and online payments, in US Dollars only. Payments from outside the USA must be paid by certified check or International Money Order in US dollars only. Thriller Chiller does not accept cash. All submission entry fees are one time only for each movie submitted. All payments made to Thriller Chiller, LLC are non-refundable.

Each movie submitted MUST have ALL licensing and rights clearance issues resolved and granted for use in your movie before submitting any material(s) to the competition. If not, we'll have to disqualify your movie from the festival process without refund. TCFF does not accept any responsibility of any kind whatsoever for any legal action(s) brought against your movie. Make sure that you legally have the right to submit anything you submit to TCFF as your submission is acknowledgment that you indemnify and hold TCFF harmless in perpetuity.
