MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Los Angeles Greek Film Festival, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is the first major endeavor to create an annual film festival in Hollywood that showcases and promotes Greek Cinema. Eligible films include works by Greek filmmakers and filmmakers of Greek descent worldwide; films about Greece; Greek and Cypriot productions or co-productions; as well as films by emerging US and local filmmakers with a prevalent Greek theme.
Films by Greek directors, writers, and producers; films by actors in starring roles; co-directors, co-writers and co-producers are also eligible.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
2014 marks the 8th anniversary of Los Angeles Greek Film Festival (LAGFF). LAGFF presents a variety of film programs, both contemporary and retrospective, in Hollywood - the heart of the entertainment capital of the world. Filmmakers accepted into the festival take part in Industry one-on-one meetings with film industry professionals, allowing for dialogue and mentorship between filmmakers and working Hollywood professionals.

Feature, documentary and short film submissions must have been completed within three years prior to May 2014 (no earlier than January 2011).
Films by Greek directors, writers, producers or actors (in starring roles), (co-directors, co-writers and co-producers are also eligible) from Greece and Cyprus. Must be credited.
Films by directors, writers, producers, or actors (in starring roles), (co-directors, co-writers and co-producers are also eligible) of Greek descent worldwide. Must be credited.
Greek and Cypriot productions.
Films about Greece and/or with a prevalent Greek theme.
Films submitted to LAGFF 2012 or 2013 which were not accepted, provided they were completed no earlier than January 2011. New entry fee and completed submission form required.
Greek-themed films from emerging local to Los Angeles filmmakers.
All non-English films must have English subtitles.
More than one film may be submitted, but each must be submitted on a separate DVD NTSC screener and accompanied by separate submission form, entry fee, and printed payment receipt.
DVD NTSC submissions should be clearly marked, including the film title (in English,) running time, format and contact information. Please indicate the country of origin.
Submission DVD (NTSC) tapes will not be returned.
The entry fee is non-refundable and required at the time of submission. Please pay the entry fee by Paypal or through Withoutabox.com. Do not send cash or checks.
Electronic submissions of the film to be considered is preferred. Link of film available on VIMEO or other area can be submitted to: email@example.com

RULES & REGULATIONS
Inclusion in the festival as well as the number, dates, times and locations of screenings will be at the sole discretion of the Festival Directors.
Once a film is selected for presentation at LAGFF, the film’s producers or distributors agree not to hold a screening of the film in Los Angeles prior to the festival screening.
Submission of a signed entry form constitutes acceptance of the LAGFF regulations. Furthermore, the festival management reserves the right to decide all questions not specifically provided for in the regulations.
All disputes, matters of interpretation, controversies and other issues relating to the entry form or regulations shall be determined and resolved according to the laws of the State of California.

Three (3) preview DVDs (Region Free) subtitled in English. Non-English non-subtitled preview DVDs will not be considered.
All submission materials must be delivered in one package.
If your film is selected for exhibition, you must provide LAGFF with:
Copy of the selected film in either 35mm or DCP or BlueRay for exhibition.
10 DVD screeners (NTSC) for features and 3 DVD screeners (NTSC) for shorts.
Photo stills in electronic form.
Complete list of credits (cast & crew)
Biography and filmography of the submitting filmmaker.
Posters/postcards (if applicable)
Trailer in beta sp, digibeta, or mpeg format (if applicable).
Accepted filmmakers will be sent specific instructions on sending the above materials. Publicity materials will not be returned.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
I have read and accept the LAGFF rules and submission guidelines, and hereby verify that the submitted film was completed in January 2011 or later.
LAGFF is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes.
The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.
The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless LAGFF from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
