Based on previous years, we should be able to showcase over 10% of the films entered, so this is a great opportunity for film makers to get their films shown.

GENERAL RULES
MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The Victoria Independent Film Festival's aim is to help the film maker get their films seen. We will strive to show as many quality films as we can, to as many people as possible.

The Victoria Independent Film Festival is an annual event held in Victoria, Australia.
Based on previous festivals we will strive to showcase over 10% of the short films entered, so this is a great opportunity for film makers to get their films shown.

GENERAL RULES
You will need to submit the following items with this application:
1. A copy of the film, clearly labeled with film title, director, run time, tracking number, contact phone / email. No other format will be accepted. All communication between the festival and filmmakers will primarily be via email.

2. A film still as a digital file at least 300dpi, for use by VIFF should the film be selected.

3. A longer synopsis with plot points and a list of cast and character names. Although not necessary, a full press kits may be included in your application package if available.

4. All official selections will be listed on the viciff.com website by December 18th, 2009. All entries will be viewed by the selection committee. The Festival will make no cuts or changes. The festival does not pay rental fees for submitted work.

5.Non-English language produced films must have English subtitles.

6. PAYMENT INFORMATION:
Payment is via paypal or through WithoutABox.com only. NO Checks, Money Orders or Cashiers Checks are accepted.

7. Cost of shipping is the responsibility of the entrant. DVDs must be sent to the festival prepaid. C.O.D.'S will be refused. The festival cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of materials while in transit.

8. AWARDS
A festival jury will present awards to films selected as best in category.

9. RETURN OF SUBMISSIONS
Please only send materials you do not wish to have returned, it's cheaper and easier for all involved. Please do not send us masters, originals, your only copy, etc. as they will not be returned.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
