MISSION & OBJECTIVE
International in scope, local in flavor -- the Rockport Film Festival's mission is to celebrate independent cinema on the Texas Coast, providing a venue and creating an audience for independent films in one of America's top 10 coastal art colonies.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Rockport Film Festival showcases shorts, features, docs, animations, and student films, welcoming filmmakers and filmmakers to a laid back three-day event that highlights talent from around the world.
RFF offers an affordable retreat where art meets environment, where filmmakers, professionals, and enthusiasts can network, relax, and enjoy films that are rarely seen elsewhere without having to wait in long lines or navigate multiple theater venues.
Films with a Texas or Southwest flavor or works that focus on fine or performing arts and humanitarian themes are strongly considered, but RFF screens a wide variety of films from all over the world. Because RFF takes place in one primary venue, each selection stands out, making it an excellent festival to premiere your film.
Lodging is typically offered to all exhibiting filmmakers as well as RFF credentials.
The RFF is produced by Rockport Center for the Arts & supported by the Rockport Rotary Club. All proceeds from the festival benefit these two non-profit entities, dedicated to promoting the arts and humanitarian efforts in communities local and worldwide.
