MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The mission of the Naperville Independent Film Festival, Inc is to encourage filmmakers of all ages to create and distribute films that entertain, inspire, and stir the human spirit.


ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
This year's, our 7th festival, is a "must enter" for every filmmaker who wants to draw attention to his or her work. We've quickly grown from our very successful premieres ( we had 18 Premieres ) this past year 2013

Our festival continues to be a 8 days event, with more time for screenings, we had 2 venues and 3 screens, showcasing 92 films.

All films will be judged and many will be screened at local theaters, venues during the festival week and there after the Officially Selected, Nominated and Winners will be screened at Selected Venues across Chicago Land areas throughout the year.

Trophies will be awarded in each of the festival's categories at the award ceremony on the last night of the festival.

GENERAL RULES
CRITERIA:
There are no category subject restrictions; each work is juried solely on its own merits by judges who may not be professional film critics. The Festival seeks any combination of inventive, incisive, passionate, socially responsive work of any style or genre. We are accepting work of any age.

Student Produced
Student Produced Films of any length. Entrant must have been a student at the time of submitting the film to this festival.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION:
(1) Entrants must comply with all Entry Rules & Regulations, including Deadline(s) and entry material requirements, selected film requirements and premiere requirements for specific 2013 Festival Selections.

(2) Non-English language works must either have subtitles or be dubbed in English.

(3) If Entrants choose to participate in the online viewing of their work, then Entrants MUST upload their films to any video sharing Web site that allows members to copy and paste "embed" code into other Web sites. These sites include, but are not limited to Google Video, YouTube.com, Vimeo.com, or others. The embed code MUST be sent to Embed@NaperFilmFest.org with the subject "Embed" followed by the full name of the movie. The body of the e-mail must contain the directors full name and the Withoutabox entry number. OR the embed code may be entered at www.NaperFilmFest.org as described in the email you receive after successful submission.

IF YOUR WORK IS SELECTED
You must provide the following ( by the date(s) designated by the Festival ):

(1) total of Four (4) exhibition copies of the invited work, in NTSC DVD Region 0 or 1 format.

(2) Any requested information about your film, cast/crew, etc. that would support the Festival's promotion of your film and its event(s)

(3) For features in competition, a 30 second clip or trailer on DVD ( for press, Awards ceremony and Festival Web site use.

(4) Full press kits, including film stills and director(s) photos (hard copy or TIFF files on CD-Rom disks ), synopsis, full production credits and director bio. Note that if the materials are not submitted by the applicable deadline, we reserve the right to secure substitute materials from other sources.

5) if payment isn't received withing 15 days from the date of the entry such entry will be deleted

FESTIVAL SECTIONS
Works invited to participate in the 2014 Naperville Independents Film Festival, Inc will be shown in the section Festival programmers believe most appropriate.
All the Film that Become an " Official Selection " of the Festival will be screened at the 8 days Festival Event of September 13th - 20th - 2014.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By entering and/or attending the Naperville Independent Film Festival, Inc ("NIFF"), you understand and agree to indemnify and hold the Naperville Independent Film Festival, Inc, their directors, officers, employees, and agents harmless from and against any and all damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to any and all activities, use of information, services or products offered and/or presented at NIFF. In addition, it is further agreed by you that by introducing you and/or your projects to third parties, the Naperville Independent Film Festival, Inc is not responsible for any contracts or negotiations between you and anyone you contact or anyone who contacts you via access to NIFF, and that it is your sole responsibility to check and verify the credentials, veracity, and reliability of anyone you deal with. The Naperville Independent Film Festival, Inc will not and cannot be responsible in any way for your dealings with third parties you come in contact with via NIFF or any of the corresponding events or functions. You further agree to allow the Naperville Independent Film Festival, Inc the rights to use your name, likeness, voice, and any other identifiable features along with screenings of your film at selected venues ( up to the end of the festival September 20th 2014 ) as well as clips and stills for advertising and/or promotional purposes may be used. COMPLIANCE All entrants agree to abide by all rules, restrictions, and requirements set forth by the Naperville Independent Film Festival, Inc and further agree not to argue with, complain to, or otherwise abuse NIFF volunteers or members of the Naperville Independent Film Festival, Inc.
