Animated Short
An animated short film produced from an original script, screenplay or a copyrighted cleared script.
Student Short
A short student film produced from an original script, screenplay or a copyrighted cleared script.
Animated Feature
A full length animated feature film produced from an original script, screenplay or a copyrighted cleared script.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The mission of the Geneva Film Festival is to celebrate the art of film making by setting the stage for independent filmmakers to showcase their talent to the world. The Geneva Film Festival features workshops with industry professionals providing educational opportunities for filmmakers and film enthusiasts alike.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The 2014 Geneva Film Festival is looking for bright, innovative films to celebrate and promote the art of independent filmmakers.

Located just 40 miles west of Chicago in Kane County, the city of Geneva is an exciting community that is home to many artists and unique retail businesses. More importantly, the people of Geneva pride themselves on being a sophisticated audience with a warm affection for the art of filmmaking.

The Geneva Film Festival is currently accepting submissions in the following categories: Narrative, Documentary and Animated Feature, Narrative and Documentary Short, Animated Short, and Student Short: Student Visionary Award (College/ Graduate School) & Young Filmmaker Spotlight (Grade School/ High School). A jury of film industry professionals will judge the submitted works.

Award recognition goes to Best Narrative Feature, Best Documentary Feature, Emerging Feature Filmmaker and Emerging Documentary Filmmaker (for 1st and 2nd time directors), Best Animated Feature, Best Narrative Short, Best Documentary Short, Best Animated Short, Student Visionary Award (Best Student Short), Young Filmmaker Spotlight Award (Best Grade/High School Short) and an award for Best Cinematography (Feature or Short).

Submissions Rules
The Geneva Film Festival strongly prefers Secure Online Screener submissions, but if you do prefer to send a hard copy screener, be sure to mail film submissions and all required entry materials including a printout of your Withoutabox confirmation page to the shipping address below:

Hard Copy Submissions
1. Film entrants must submit two viewing copies in accepted formats for consideration.
2. Entry forms and payment will not be processed without two accompanying Preview Copies in one of the accepted formats.
3. Please attach/write WAB Tracking ID to all submission materials.

The Geneva Film Festival accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of entries during shipment to or from the Geneva Film Festival.

All Submissions
1. Film entries must be uploaded or postmarked by January 10, 2014.
2. All entries must be in English.
3. Students must include proof of student status with the submission (i.e. copy of current and valid student I.D.).
4. ALL ENTRIES MUST INCLUDE A FILM POSTER AND TRAILER IN A HIGH RES DIGITAL FORMAT.

SHIPPING
The cost of shipping an entry to the festival must be paid by the entrant. Collect or C.O.D. shipment will not be accepted. All international entries must be sent "free domicile" to the Festival office with all transportation charges, duties, and taxes prepaid by the shipper. Any brokerage fees charged to Geneva Film Festival will be billed back to the shipper. Be sure to include all the proper customs documentation required by the shipping company.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

SCREENING RELEASE: I hereby certify that I have read and understand the complete rules and regulations of the Geneva Film Festival (GFF). I also certify that I am the owner of the exhibition and distribution rights of the film/video listed on page one of this submission form and if accepted, I hereby grant GFF nonexclusive permission to use said film/video/materials for promotion/advertisement of the GFF event. I certify that the musical artist in conjunction with said film/video has granted permission and GFF is held harmless. I also understand I retain full ownership of said film/video/materials and can continue to enjoy and exploit said ownership in any manner whatsoever.
