MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The SENE FILM, MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL is produced by Southeast New England Film, Music and Arts, a non-profit arts organization. SENE seeks to involve audiences in a full range of cultural opportunities, combining film, music and art into events designed to cross‐promote the works of filmmakers, musicians and artists to new audiences.

95% of all selected films come directly from paid film submissions. The small number of invited films are not eligible for any awards.

Over the past 5 years, SENE has accepted approximately 25% of their submissions. Films compete for both juried and audience awards in over twenty categories

SENE has partnered with the Rhode Island Comic Con (30,000 attendance) and the Boston Comedy Festival. Films submitted to SENE are also eligible for screening at both events.

SENE is a member of the Universal Film & Festival Organisation and has adopted their ethical Code of Conduct.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The SOUTHEAST NEW ENGLAND FILM, MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL (SENE) is a dynamic five-day event in the heart of the American Northeast. An impressive lineup of film, music and art events are on the schedule in our sixth year, featuring a diverse roster of film screenings, live music and art exhibits.

The Festival attracts young and enthusiastic audiences from the prestigious places of learning that are all in close proximity, including Brown University, the Rhode Island School of Design and Johnson & Wales University. Providence combines the accessibility and friendliness of a small town with the culture and sophistication of a big city. It’s got a thriving arts community, vibrant and diverse neighborhoods and a renowned restaurant scene.

Over the past 5 years, SENE has accepted approximately 25% of their submissions. Films compete for both juried and audience awards in over twenty categories.

SENE organizers are dedicated to providing a filmmaker-friendly fest experience, so participating filmmakers receive a VIP pass to all screenings and events, with additional tickets available for their own screening. Filmmakers are always introduced at their screenings and have plenty of Q&A time following.

SENE is dedicated to maximizing the audience for your film, so they only screen films in the evening and on the weekend when their audience is most likely to attend.

Strategic film scheduling, hotel discounts, rides wherever possible and opportunities to screen at additional events throughout Southeast New England are all part of a true commitment to making sure that the films and filmmakers are well cared for and don't get lost in the shuffle.

Submitted films are also eligible to be screened at the Boston Comedy Festival and the Rhode Island Comic Con.

SENE is a member of the Universal Film & Festival Organisation and has adopted their ethical Code of Conduct.

95% of all selected films come directly from paid film submissions. The small number of invited films are not eligible for any awards.
