Short Narrative (less than 60-minutes)
Must be 60-minutes OR LESS in length, including credits.
We welcome films from all over the US, and worldwide. Films in this category "tell a story", such as drama, horror, comedy, or family films.
Animation (less than 60-minutes)
Must be 60-minutes OR LESS in length, including credits.
We welcome films from all over the US, and worldwide. Films in this category can be computer generated, stop motion, or traditional hand drawn animation.
Documentary (less than 60 minutes)
Must be 60-minutes OR LESS in length, including credits.
We welcome films from all over the US, and worldwide. Films in this category may include documentaries, mockumentaries, news, and photo essays.
Music Video or Musical (less than 60 minutes)
Must be 60-minutes OR LESS in length, including credits.
We welcome films from all over the US, and worldwide. Films in this category are standard "MTV" type music videos, or any visual interpretation of a song.
Made In Florida (less than 60 minutes)
Must be 60-minutes OR LESS in length, including credits,
and shot in Florida. This project may be a narrative, documentary, music video, or animation. Films entered in this category will also be considered for other awards such as "best cinematography", etc.
Feature Film (60-minutes and over)
For films that are 60-minutes OR MORE in length. May be narratives (films that tell a story), or documentaries. Must not be harsher than an R rating. Production budget may not exceed $100,000

MISSION & OBJECTIVE

"...a film festival in paradise."

Here's an opportunity to meet other filmmakers, watch some great films, and spend a day (or two) in beautiful Cocoa Beach Florida.

The "15-Minutes of Fame" is for features and shorts, produced by filmmakers from anywhere in the world. We welcome Music Videos, Animation, Documentaries, and Narratives.

Our goal is to provide a public showcase for quality films that might otherwise be ignored. Award Certificates will be given in 16 categories, and all films submitted to the festival are eligible for an IMDB page.



ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The "15 Minutes of Fame" film festival is "a truly independent festival, for truly independent filmmakers". It is sponsored by husband-and-wife filmmakers, Ray and Migdalia Etheridge, who founded the festival in 2009.

GENERAL RULES
(1.)We will accept films of nearly every type and style, such as music videos, documentaries, horror, comedy, etc, but your film must be no harsher than an "R" rating.
(2.) Films may have been produced any year.
(3.) Projects may originate anywhere in the world, but either the dialogue OR the subtitles must be in English.
(4.) No premiere requirements.
(5.) Project may have distribution.
(6.) Submission format is DVD Region-0, or Region-1. NTSC, (No HD; No Blue-ray; No media files that require a computer for playback) It must play on a standard (non-Blueray) desktop player.
(7.) Your submission copy will also be your exhibition copy. Your DVD will not be returned.
(8.) Press Kits are not required. We will use the information and stills from your online withoutabox press kit.
(9.) Please note that we only accept payment through withoutabox, by credit card. DO NOT send payment with your DVD.
(10) We will accept only ONE VERSION of your entry, which will be given to our judges. We will NOT accept "updated" cuts such as "new sound mix", "new effects added", “shorter version”, etc.
(11) Entries must be received IN OUR OFFICE by August 8, 2014, to be considered.
(12) Production budget for any film (short or feature), may not exceed $100,000.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

15 Minutes of Fame is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless 15 Minutes of Fame from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered. Entry fees are non-refundable.
