MISSION & OBJECTIVE

The mission of the Davis Film Festival is to celebrate independent cinema from around the world and our own backyard.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The Davis Film Festival was started in April 2003 by Judith Plank,
a long-time film festival volunteer and resident of Davis, California.
She saw that the film festival would fill a niche. People in Davis love
film, but no one had ever started a film festival. The festival is growing,
and 2015 will be our twelfth year.

GENERAL RULES

The Twelfth Annual Davis Film Festival takes place August 22-23, 2015. We accept works on DVD or Blu-Ray of any length or genre. Preview screeners are accepted on DVD, vimeo or online screener. Please label all work clearly with your name, contact information, exhibition format and running time.

Final programming decisions will be made by the screening committee in Summer 2015. All entrants will be notified in writing of the status of their submission by August 7th at the latest. If you change your address after submission of work, please inform us.

If selected, an exhibition-quality DVD or Blu-Ray must be made available to the festival by August 15, 2015. Directors should also provide press kits including 300 dpi digital photos and brief description, plus any other supporting materials after acceptance into festival.
