ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The 2014 Nevada Film Festival will be held in Las Vegas, December 6, 2014. This year's festival will see over $16,000 worth in cash & prizes given away to the winning filmmakers and screenwriters.
Taking place each year in the beautiful and exciting city of Las Vegas, the Nevada Film Festival is the Silver State’s annual celebration of the very best in American and international cinema, bringing together top independent filmmakers, growing audiences and the film industry professionals who make it all possible.
The Nevada Film Festival offers filmgoers a rare opportunity to meet the filmmakers. Directors, screenwriters, cinematographers and actors eager to share their work will provide an exclusive inside look at the industry during post-screening Q&A's.
Set in the world's entertainment capital, and only a three and a half hour drive from Hollywood, the Festival will host several world premieres, galas and parties for a singular festival experience. Films will be shown in the city that boasts one of the largest movie consumer groups in the world, a rich filmmaking history as well as fine dining, shopping, and exceptional recreational activities.
This year's festival line-up will include both award-winning and world premiere feature films, documentaries, short films, foreign films, animations, music videos, experimental films, a screenplay competition, and an actor's showcase. Films of many genres will be screened including drama, comedy, action, horror, family and more. At NFF, films are selected solely on the basis of their merits, with an eye for great screenwriting, originality and storytelling.
The festival also features unique panel discussions with the filmmakers where audiences have the opportunity to learn directly from the pros. Panel discussions include a range of topics and disciplines such as writing, directing, and producing.
Join us this year, when screenwriters, filmmakers, actors, film lovers and industry veterans come together in an inspired atmosphere of collaboration and creativity.
