Located just 60 miles north of Hollywood on the California coastline, the Ventura Film Festival is an international film festival and charity fundraiser that raises money and awareness for forest and ocean preservation and the environment.

The Ventura Film Festival is 100% volunteer based and is the largest film festival in Ventura County with hundreds of films of all types screened each summer in the beautiful beach town of Ventura, California.

The Ventura Film Festival is an international film festival that screens Academy Award winning and and other award winning films of all genres as well as independent, local, and student films.

Filmmakers and writers from more than 25 countries participated in the 2011 Ventura Film Festival. The Ventura Film Festival is attended by fans, filmmakers, directors, producers, writers, actors and their friends and family as well as celebrities from all around the world including world champion and Olympic athletes, world famous musicians, directors, producers, and actors.

The volunteer advisory panel of the Ventura Film Festival consists of industry legends and executives from the likes of Disney, ABC, UCLA, and Lionsgate.

Theaters include the 1,200 seat Majestic Ventura Theater, where the well attended opening night ceremonies are held, and the Century 10 Theaters, both in historic and beautiful downtown Ventura, California.

Ventura Film Festival has a new online film social network providing you with more exposure for your film. Once you complete the Withoutabox portion of your submission you are requested to visit and register at http://venturafilmfestival.org and create a public profile with your trailer, images, synopsis, and other information related to your submission. This is requested so that your film trailer, images, and other film information is displayed to the public.

If you submit before the regular deadline then Ventura Film Festival will notify you only if you are accepted by May 30, 2012 by marking your film as accepted inside the Withoutabox web site. We will not email or call you. We will only mark the appropriate box in the Withoutabox web site. It's your responsibility to make sure that you are able to log on to the Withoutabox web site at http://withoutabox.com and can receive email communication regarding your submission. Make sure that you whitelist info@venturafilmfestival.org in your email program to ensure that Ventura Film Festival emails are delivered and do not go to spam. All Ventura Film Festival submissions are given equal consideration.

IMPORANT SUBMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Your film synopsis, trailer, stills will not be visible on our site unless you register and create your profile at http://venturafilmfestival.org.

Must include Withoutabox code, run time, aspect ratio, and film title on DVD disc, in the title of the submitted file, and on all packaging materials incuding envelopes, cd cases, etc.

Ventura Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Ventura Film Festival for promotional purposes.

The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.

The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Ventura Film Festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
