Accepts films in 4 categories, Documentary, Experimental, Music Video and Narrative Fiction in any genre.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The 8th Short Sharp Film Festival encourages movie making across all genres.

The Short Sharp Film Festival is designed to showcase new and emerging talent, provide film makers with competition experience and expose our audience to different cultures and stories.


ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Short Sharp Film Festival began back in 2007 and its screening is warmly embraced by Coffs Harbour audiences.

The festival, now in its 8th year attracts entries from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the Americas and Australasia.

This year the festival includes the following Awards:

THE ANIMATION AWARDS:
- Best Animation: $1000
- Runner Up: $500
- Peoples Choice: $250

THE SHARPIES FILM AWARDS:
- Best Film: $1000
- Runner Up: $500
- Peoples Choice: $250

OTHER FESTIVAL AWARDS:
- Best Coffs Coast Film or Animation $500
- Best Score: Film or Animation $250

GENERAL RULES
1. By entering your film in the Short Sharp Film Festival (SSFF) SSFF reserves the rights to publish and present the finalists films on its YouTube channel. If your film is unable to played in full on YouTube please forward and email to info@shortsharpdigital.org.au to inform the festival. If the SSFF does not receive a request for no publication, it will be considered an agreement.

2. All music & sound effects contained in your film must be copyright cleared for festival use.

3. All actors must consent in writing to use their performance in your completed video or film. It is your responsibility to keep these records and produce them if required.

4. You must have written permission from the copyright holder to use their art work, literature and any other Intellectual Copyright. Example include: artwork, photographs, quotes, images from magazines and newspapers, background images on television, posters and prints, and painting on walls. It is your responsibility to keep these records and produce them if required.

5. SSFF accepts films in 4 categories, Documentary, Experimental, Music Video and Narrative Fiction in any genre and all styles of animation under 8 minutes including credits.

6. All details in the entry form are true.

7. The Producer agrees to indemnify Short Sharp Film Festival against any and all actions, claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses which may be made or brought against Short Sharp Film Festival as a result of breach by the Producer.

8. The entrant has not given any rights to any other agreement that may conflict or breach contractual obligations. It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure their clearance.

9. Short Sharp Film Festival has the discretion to reject any film entry if it does not apply to the Short Sharp Film Festival Standards.

10. No R or X rated films or content will be accepted.
