MISSION & OBJECTIVE

Honoring stories worth telling, New Media Film Festival brings the best in new media to the world.
“When the NMFF began in 2009, non-traditional media like virtual reality and mobile content were almost considered to be science-fiction in the Industry. Few people had experienced the power of these innovative technologies, let alone how they would revolutionize the way we consume media today. The NMFF doesn’t just show great films. It champions new forms of storytelling in the 21st Century.” -As noted by noted film programmer and board member David Kleiler,

The New Media Film Festival team works hard to produce a cutting-edge, fair, upscale festival devoted to upcoming and seasoned content creators that highlights and honors globally in the New Media industry.

We are also one of the most unique festivals that also works hard to find distribution and other opportunities for almost all our official selections - not just the winners. Content creators who submit, whether officially selected or not, have opportunities outside of the normal festival process. Everything from distribution, connections to other festivals, conferences, press opportunities and more.

See below to see all the criteria you need to enter our festival. First round selections will be announced January! We hope to see you this summer!
