Documentary Short
Documentaries under 35 minutes. All topics are accepted.
Documentary Feature
Documentaries over 35 minutes. All topics are accepted.
Animations under 59 minutes. All genres are accepted.
Music Video
Music Videos under 30 minutes. All genres are accepted.
Student made films under 59 minutes. All genres are accepted.
Any film that does not follow the traditional narrative film format that are 90 minutes and under. All genres are accepted.
Film, Stage, Television and Commercials of any length and genre. We also accept treatments.


The goal of the Los Angeles Cinema Festival of Hollywood is to recognize and award talented independent filmmakers and Writers, therefore helping them to increase their distribution and project funding opportunities.


Welcome to the Winter Los Angeles Cinema Festival of Hollywood. The LACFH is here to provide independent filmmakers with the opportunity to have their work recognized, judged and awarded. We’re a traditional festival looking to showcase entertaining domestic and international materials from talented independent filmmakers. Multiple awards will be up for grabs between the 9 categories. Also, all eligible films submitted through withoutabox.com will receive a title page on IMDb.com.

Los Angeles Cinema Festival General Submissions Rules.

Label DVD with the WAB Tracking ID, Film Title and Telephone Number.
Submissions in other than English must be subtitled or dubbed.
The entry fee is per category.
Entries will not be returned.


The Los Angeles Cinema Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes.

The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.

The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless The Los Angeles Cinema Festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
