|Narrative features and shorts should be quite simply: a sequence of fictional events. Tell us a good story and do it with everything you've got.
|LGBTQ of any form or genre is welcome. If your film is over 50 minutes, please enter it as a Narrative Feature.
MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Queens World Film Festival screens films from around the world and around the corner. We are especially interested in maverick filmmakers of any sex, orientation, ethnicity, country, region. We want to see something we have never seen before.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Turning four in 2014, QWFF includes an annual festival, industry panels, special events, youth-oriented educational initiatives and year round screening opportunities for QWFF filmmakers, past and present.

OPENING NIGHT 2013: Held at the Museum of the Moving Image (http://www.movingimage.us/) with an after party at Studio Square (http://www.studiosquarenyc.com/). Special guests/honorees included Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer, for championing the arts throughout NYC and Actress/70’s icon, Karen Black, honored for her unique contributions to cinema and her enduring commitment to aspiring filmmakers
CLOSING NIGHT 2013: Awards ceremony and party at the Renaissance Event Hall (http://www.renaissanceeventhall.com/) with ''Best of' awards in all categories.
WINNERS CIRCLE 2013: All winning films received an encore screening on the final day of the festival.

SCREENING/SELECTION APPROACH: All films are pre-screened by the festival programmer and other QWFF screeners, using a score sheet. High scoring films are moved into the programming and Jury process.
PROGRAMMING APPROACH: The films are programmed in thematic blocks, grouping complimentary films together to maximize audience appeal. Each block has a host who conducts the Q&A with the filmmakers. Popular BLOCKS: 'All About Women', 'O...M...G', 'Twisted Love', 'Scare Me'.

Entries may be entered as an on-line screener or submitted on DVD NTSC.
Foreign language work must be dubbed or subtitled in English. Please do not send any paper press kits or any other print materials until they are requested by the festival.
The responsibility for the shipping cost of any and all material(s) is that of the entrant. All material(s) must be prepaid. Any and all C.O.D's will be refused. All DVDs must be labeled with the title of the work, run time and the name of the director.
SELECTION & NOTIFICATION GUIDE
If you paid and it plays we will watch it. If selected we will post it on our website and notify you by email. If selected we suggest sending 2 festival screeners, each DVD of a different manufacturer. We strongly suggest that when you come to your screening you bring an extra copy.
We will notify you if you are not accepted as well.

RETURN OF MATERIALS
We will not return screener materials. That's crazy talk.
OUR ATTORNEY MADE US POST THIS
Although due care will be exercised by QWFF and its associates, friends and relatives, QWFF cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged DVD's or other materials and that is certainly true for damage or loss during transit. The festival does not pay any rental fees for submitted work.

Each and all festival entrant(s) must agree to the General Festival Rules, Terms and Conditions. Submission of your material to QWFF denotes full agreement.

We have read all of the Queens World Film Festival (a.k.a. QWFF and/or Festival) rules. By submitting material to QWFF We understand and have complied with these rules. We warrant the submission of my/our original work and there are no disputes regarding the ownership of the submission. We also warrant the submitted material does not defame or invade the rights of any person living or dead and I/we fully indemnify QWFF against any claim made for such violations of law. To the best of my/our knowledge, all of the statements herein are true and correct. I/We understand that failure to adhere to QWFF rules will result in disqualification and forfeiture of entry fee. I/We agree to hold the Queens World Film Festival harmless from and defend them against all claims, demands, losses, damages, judgments, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or in connection with any and all claims of third parties, whether or not groundless, based on any film submitted to the Queens World Film Festival (a.k.a. QWFF and/or Festival).
