Women in Cinema-Alice Guy Blache Award
The Women in Cinema-Alice Guy Blache Award is a tribute to the woman who is widely considered the very first narrative film director of the motion picture industry. She also ran one of the first film studios ever created which was located in New Jersey. The award will be given to a female director whose submission, regardless of genre, is considered the most outstanding work by a female director. If you are a female director, you may submit to any categories, however, to be considered for the Women in Cinema Award you should submit your work in this category.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE

The Golden Door International Film Festival of Jersey City is a premiere event minutes from Manhattan,NYC which was inspired by the renaissance of Jersey City, NJ. It is, most importantly, a forum where distinguished as well as up and coming filmmakers will have the opportunity to present their current work in a prestigious and respected event.

Now in its 8th year, this four-day film festival holds the opportunity for filmmakers, actors, and crew to network with colleagues and share their work with the public in the heart of the indie filmmaking landscape.

Jersey City has become the premier destination for New Jersey's art and film industry. Screenings, after parties and gala celebrations all take place within some of the most beautiful local treasures Jersey City has to offer.

GDIFF has set its mission to afford all filmmakers the opportunity to be on an equal platform; from the burgeoning filmmaker to some of the most well-known actors and established directors and producers today.

In addition, GDIFF has also become one of the most important outlets for raising awareness for Autism and other disabilities through its innovative special needs panels and film platform.

All genres will be accepted with the exception of films containing pornographic sexual content and/or graphic violence unrelated to the storytelling process.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Golden Door International Film Festival of Jersey City is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes.

The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.

The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Golden Door International Film Festival of Jersey City from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
